Education

At Clear Vision Foundation, we aim to help train the next generation of ophthalmologists and optometrists as well as provide educational seminars for partnering doctors and the community.

We have rotations for premedical students, medical students and optometry students who can shadow our doctors in clinic and observe surgery. These experiences can range from 1 week to 6 months and can give a taste of vision care or provide a broad overview of the different facets of optometry and ophthalmology. We have had students from around the country work with us and these mentoring experiences can be invaluable in the progression of students into their next academic phase.

In the future, we plan to establish a fellowship in anterior segment surgery for doctors who have completed ophthalmology residency. This opportunity would allow advanced training in cataract, cornea, refractive, and glaucoma surgery, as well as comprehensive eye care.

Our doctors have been pleased to give seminars to gatherings of optometrists and primary care doctors on the latest advances in eye care, as well as to community organizations and health seminars on common eye conditions, basic vision questions, and nutrition for vision.
