Dr. Ambiati

At a very early age, Dr. Ambati gained a respect and admiration for those who work in the medical profession. Having spent months in a hospital at a young age, he experienced the compassion, dedication, and caring of skilled doctors and nurses. As he grew older the experience stayed with him with him so when it came time to choose a career path, medicine was a logical choice.

Dr. Ambati earned his MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine at the age of 17, gaining the title of the world’s youngest doctor, and then began his remarkable career of compassionate medical care. The choice of becoming an Ophthalmologist was an easy one for him.

Dr. Ambiati

\Dr. Mando was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and grew up in Kentucky. He attended University of Louisville School of Medicine followed by residency at the University of Kentucky and completed a fellowship in cornea, anterior segment, and refractive surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. Following training, he returned to work in a private practice in the Cincinnati area in 2018, but is excited to now be relocating to beautiful Eugene, Oregon. Dr. Mando grew up around the optical store that his family owns and he is humbled that a childhood surrounded by optics has blossomed into a career surgically manipulating it. He is passionate about the art of surgery; the dedication it takes to both teach and learn the craft. Dr. Mando is an avid outdoorsman; spending his free time backpacking, kayaking, and fishing. When not in the wilderness, he and his wife are self-diagnosed foodies, thoroughly enjoying travel and trying new restaurants and cuisines.

Dr. Neale

Matthew D. Neale, M.D.was born in Pocatello, Idaho. Much of his upbringing was spent in the United Kingdom and Canada on the heels of his father, a theologian.

Undergraduate work in Chemistry brought Dr. Neale back to his roots in rural Idaho where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. Research interests at that time included enzyme kinetics in sucrose metabolism. After brief stints in mechanical engineering, molecular biology, and analytical chemistry, Dr. Neale realized that his talents would be best used to alleviate human suffering; thus resolved, he then pursued and received his medical degree in 2007 at the Chicago Medical School. After completing a one-year internship in Internal Medicine at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois, he went on to complete his ophthalmology residency in 2011 at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Dr. Neale and his lovely wife, Monika, have been blessed with six delightful children. He devotes the remainder of his personal time to church involvement and physical fitness.
